photoKovac photographies

Born in Sarajevo in 1966, fascinated by the camera his father gave him at the age of ten (Agfamatic Pocket 110), he attended his first photography course at the end of the seventies at the university photo club CEDUS in Sarajevo, under the mentorship of Milomir Kovacevic Strasni

He developed his photographic knowledge and improved his black-and-white darkroom technique in high school (II Gimnazija, Sarajevo) and later, during his university studies, at the photo club of the Mechanical Engineering University of Sarajevo (Foto-klub Mašinac).

In the early nineties, his engineering career took him first to France and later to the Netherlands, Indonesia, Angola, Yemen, Qatar, and Denmark. In all these countries, he continued his photographic activity, trying to capture interesting faces in the streets and the most typical details of their natural environments, thus bringing other cultures closer to his audience.

He is member of Association of Fine Art Photography of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AUFBIH), Association of Applied Artists and Designers of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ULUPUBIH), Association of BH Photographers (BH FOTOGRAFI) and an active participant in international photo salons and competitions.
